📢 Practice Closure for Staff Training – Thursday 22nd May 2025

The surgery will be closed from 2:30 PM on Thursday 22nd May 2025 for staff training (Protected Learning Time).

If you need medical assistance during this time:

  • Call 999 in an emergency.
  • Call 111 for non-emergency help.

Infection control statement

We are committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff. Our modern, purpose-built practice is kept clean and well-maintained at all times.

If you have any concerns about cleanliness or infection control, please inform our reception staff in person or via our online contact form.

Our GPs and nursing staff adhere to our infection control policy to ensure the safety of the care we deliver and the equipment we use. We take additional measures to uphold the highest standards:

  • Encourage staff and patients to report any issues or incidents related to cleanliness and infection control, so we can address and improve upon them.
  • Conduct an annual infection control audit to ensure our procedures are effective.
  • Provide annual staff training and updates on cleanliness and infection control.
  • Regularly review our policies and procedures to ensure they meet national guidelines.
  • Maintain the premises and equipment to a high standard within our financial resources, taking all reasonable steps to reduce or eliminate infection risk.
  • Use washable or disposable materials for items such as couch rolls, modesty curtains, floor coverings, and towels, ensuring they are laundered, cleaned, or changed frequently to minimise infection risk.
  • Make alcohol hand rub gel available throughout the building.
