Zero Tolerance
Our practice fully supports the NHS Zero Tolerance Policy. This policy aims to address the increasing problem of violence against NHS staff, ensuring that doctors and their staff have the right to care for others without fear of being attacked or abused.
We understand that ill patients may not always act reasonably and will take this into consideration when dealing with misunderstandings or complaints. However, we ask that you treat your doctors and their staff courteously and reasonably.
Unacceptable Behaviour
- Aggressive Behaviour: Aggressive behaviour, whether violent or verbally abusive, will not be tolerated.
- Formal Warnings: All incidents will be followed up. A formal warning will be issued after the second incident of unreasonable behaviour.
- Removal from Practice List: After a third incident of unreasonable behaviour, you will be removed from the practice list.
- Immediate Actions: In extreme cases, where an incident involves a threat to staff or other patients, the police will be contacted immediately.
We are committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for our patients and staff. Your cooperation is essential to achieving this goal.
