Our Care Navigators are trained members of our Reception Team who help you access the most appropriate care or service for your needs.
When you contact the practice, they may ask for a brief description of your problem or enquiry. This helps them understand what you need and direct you to the right person or service.
Why will I be asked what’s wrong?
You may be asked for some brief information about why you’re contacting us.
This is not to stop you from seeing a GP. It helps us identify the most appropriate care for you.
Depending on your needs, you may be directed to:
- A GP or another clinician at the practice
- A Clinical Pharmacist
- A Physiotherapist
- Your local pharmacy
- A community or NHS service
- Another healthcare professional or service
In some cases, you may be able to get the help you need without waiting for a GP appointment.
Your information is confidential
Our Care Navigators are trained in confidentiality and will handle your information securely and sensitively.
They do not diagnose medical conditions or provide clinical advice.
If you would prefer not to discuss your reason for contacting us at the Reception desk, please let a member of the team know and we will do our best to speak with you more privately.
