Easter Bank Holiday 2026 – Practice Closure & Pharmacy Opening Times

Please note that Ivel Medical Centre will be closed on:

  • Friday 3 April 2026 (Good Friday)
  • Monday 6 April 2026 (Easter Monday)

During this time, if you require advice or treatment for minor illnesses or urgent medication queries, your local community pharmacy may be able to help without an appointment.

Some pharmacies across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes will be open during the Easter bank holiday period.

Important Notice: Blood Test Appointments at Lister Hospital

We have been advised by the Lister Hospital, Phlebotomy Department that all patients referred by GP surgeries must now have an appointment for blood tests.

Patients who attend without a booked appointment will be turned away, including on Saturdays.

If you need to have your blood test at Lister Hospital, please book your appointment online via the East and North Hertfordshire NHS website:

Please do not attend the Lister Hospital, Phlebotomy Department without a confirmed appointment, as walk-ins are no longer accepted.
