Know Your Numbers Week is the UK’s biggest blood pressure awareness campaign. This year, we’re encouraging all adults to check their blood pressure and take steps to protect their health.

Why It Matters
- High blood pressure is often called the “silent killer” — it rarely causes symptoms.
- Around 1 in 3 UK adults has high blood pressure, but many don’t know it.
- Left untreated, it greatly increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, and kidney disease.
Healthy Blood Pressure Targets
- Ideal: 120/80 mmHg
- High: 140/90 mmHg or above (or 150/90 mmHg if over 80 years old)
- Low: 90/60 mmHg or below
