We are supporting the Lung Cancer Screening Programme, an NHS initiative offering free Lung Health Checks to eligible patients. This service is provided by an external agency and is aimed at detecting early signs of lung cancer in those at higher risk.
Who is eligible?
✔ Patients aged 55 to 74
✔ Current or former smokers (with at least one year of smoking history)
How does it work?
- Eligible patients will receive an invitation for a telephone consultation with a clinician.
- Based on the assessment, some patients may be offered a Low Dose CT Scan of their lungs.
- Scans will be carried out at a mobile scanning unit in a convenient community location.
