Celebrating Neurodiversity. Embracing Acceptance.
Autistic Pride Day is celebrated every year on 18th June. It’s a day created by and for autistic people to promote self-advocacy, dignity, and the value of neurodiversity.
What is Autistic Pride?
Autistic Pride Day recognises autism as a natural variation of the human experience, not a condition that needs to be fixed. Inspired by the broader Pride movement, it highlights the importance of:
- Autonomy and identity
- Voices of autistic individuals being at the forefront
- Celebrating differences—not masking them
Autistic Pride is not about awareness—it’s about acceptance, inclusion, and empowerment.
Why It Matters
- Many autistic people still face barriers to healthcare, education, and employment
- Autistic voices are too often spoken about, not with
- Pride fosters a positive sense of identity and encourages self-expression without shame

Neurodiversity is Strength
On this Autistic Pride Day, let’s uplift autistic voices and celebrate the uniqueness that each individual brings to the world.
If you are autistic or support someone who is, we are here to make our care more inclusive and supportive. Please speak to a member of staff if you need adjustments.
