All prescriptions are produced and printed on the practice's computer system. Details of repeat prescriptions are printed on a slip of paper attached to the prescription. Repeat prescriptions are initiated at a doctor consultation at which time it will be established that the medication suits the individual and it needs to be continued for an extended period of time.
A time limit will also be set beyond which no further prescriptions will be issued without a further doctor consultation. You will then be asked to make an appointment to see the doctor to review the medication before further repeat prescriptions will be issued.

If your repeat prescription states that you are a "Dispensing Patient" then to save you having to bring in your repeat slip to be run off every month we are more than happy to retain the slip in dispensary and make up your medications every 28 days. This saves you a journey and your medication will be ready for you. We'll remind you every 6 months when your medication review is due.
Prescription Collection Service
If you take medication on repeat prescription you may wish to take advantage of a free service offered by the local pharmacies. They will offer to collect prescriptions from the practice and have the medication ready for collection at their premises. If you wish to take advantage of this service please speak to your pharmacy first to make the arrangements.
Our practice is a dispensing practice but regulations prevent us from dispensing to you if you live in a built-up area or within one mile of a pharmacy. In effect this means that only those patients living in villages (except Beeston and some areas of Langford) may use our dispensary.
The dispensary is open from 08:30 - 11.30 and 15.00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday.
